The Gents Place
The Gents Place is a barbershop, spa, and men’s grooming club which was first launched in Frisco, Texas in 2008.〔 It is a man-only salon that provides haircuts, coloring, massages, shaves, and facials. It has been featured in Forbes,〔 Haute Living, Men's Health Magazine, as well as other local, regional, and national media. It was named #1 on the Dallas A-List in 2009 by WFAA.

The Gents Place was founded by Ben Davis in 2008. The first location was in Frisco, Texas.〔 According to Davis, the idea for The Gents Place came to him because he hated to get his hair cut wanted to improve on the hair cut experience of men.
Davis used a social media campaign to sign up over 5,000 clients. Davis ran a Facebook advertisement offering a free cut, shampoo, and hot towel treatment to anyone who would provide him their name, phone number, email address, and preferred social network. Davis personally responded to everyone who provided the information and was able to obtain 5,000 new clients. According to Forbes Magazine, 80% of those who participated in the ad campaign signed up for additional services with 750 signing up for annual memberships.〔
In 2010, Davis purchased an existing men’s salon near Kansas City and turned it into a second location for The Gents Place. A third location was opened in the Dallas-area in 2012.〔
